Kemin Lämärit was established on 1972,. We got our existing hockey rink at 1993.
Before that we were playing so called outdoors hockey for several years.
After 1993 clup has developed a lot and at the moment we are the only hockey club
in the city of Kemi having also junior activities in hockey. In the club we already
have more than 250 official players and we have also a team for  women.
We are the only club in the city who has received very highly appreciated prize from
Finish hockey federation called “Nuori suomi sinettiseura” given
due the very high quality work on a club level.

We have been very successful to increase the visibility of the team in media
during the last three years and the interest for the hockey has increased heavily during the same time period.

The first team consists mainly on the local players from the area of Meri - Lappi
and couple of imports. At the moment we are playing in the second division in northern block 2,
but our target is to go up to Suomi – Sarja, still during this season.

We are as a team very open for taking import players to improve the level of hockey in our city.
Please feel free to contact first team GM, Petri Nikupeteri to have a possibility for tryout session in our team.
BUT FIRST, find out the level of hockey we have in Northern part of Finland in lower leagues, we need only players who really can reinforce our team.
